I entered into the profession of Financial Planning in 2012, and began working for Eldon in 2014. I joined Eldon because of their inimitable approach to looking after clients. We put clients front and centre of all we do, and through our financial planning we add real value to their lives. This is exactly why I initially wanted to be part of the financial planning profession.
In 2014 when Eldon moved to Newton Aycliffe, I found myself working in the same town in which I went to school – something that I never thought would happen when I made the 300+ mile journey south to begin my adult life at the University of Sussex!
I am now a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of our professional body the Personal Finance Society. I am the Education Outreach Ambassador for our regional Personal Finance Society committee, which involves educating young adults aged 15-18 about Financial Planning. Professionally, I have a particular interest in Social Impact investing.
Away from work I try to keep fit, particularly with boxing training and running. So far I am still able to keep up with my teenage son, but I am sure that won’t last much longer! I am also involved as a coach with my son’s football team. To the detriment of my sporting activities, I also like drinking craft beer!
